On your first day, you will be picked up from the Maun Airport and taken to your hotel where you will be briefed by your guide. Take the afternoon to relax at your hotel and get ready for the adventure.
Days 2 & 3
We get ready to head into the Okavango Delta where we will be spending two nights camping in the wild. We use traditional mokoros to go deeper into the delta. We'll set up camp for two nights on one of the many islands and simply blend in with all of our surroundings. We will be doing morning and afternoons game walks. During the day, it's possible to go for a swim with the locals in one of the channels of the delta, or learn how to pole the mokoro.
Days 4, 5 & 6
Today, we leave the Okavango Delta and follow the River Khwai. We move camp to the Khwai River Concession in Moremi Game Reserve, where we stay for the next two nights. A relaxed game drive takes us to Mbabane Gate where we have lunch at the picnic spot. We arrive at the camp after lunch. It is then time to shower and freshen up before our first drive along the river to see the many animals who come here to drink. This concession allows off-road driving, so following animals is much easier in this area.
Our days will be spent on morning and afternoon game drives, not only to appreciate the beautiful scenery, but also to find the most amazing wildlife sightings. Lunch will be at the camp, where we will relax before departing on the afternoon game drive until sunset, where we wait until dark. This gives us the chance to see the nocturnal animals and we also learn about the sounds and the night sky. On arrival back at the camp, we will have dinner.
Days 7 & 8
We move more north over the sand ridge and into the Mababe Depression, arriving at the Savuti Marsh. This open grassland area attracts many herds of herbivores, which in turn draw the large lion prides for which Savuti is famous. We spend our days doing morning and afternoon game drives.
Chobe National Park
The Chobe River flows along the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park, attracting some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. We will be in the town of Kasane for only one night. In the afternoon, we will be doing a sunset boat cruise which is a highlight as we see the mighty elephant herds returning to the Chobe River to quench their thirst.
Days 10 & 11
We leave the wilderness of Botswana to go into the country of Zimbabwe. We will be staying in a lodge for two nights in the town of Victoria Falls. Upon our arrival, we will spend the whole afternoon exploring the mighty falls. The next day is free for you to either relax by the pool, do some shopping or enjoy a full day of optional activities.
Today, we say goodbye. After breakfast, you will be taken to the Victoria Falls airport for your flight back home.
