Today, you will be picked up early in the morning for a 5-hour transfer to the town of Malelane where you will be staying for 2 nights. Our accommodation will be outside of the Kruger National Park, just 4km away from the Malelane Gate, which is one of the southern gates of the park.
Kruger National Park, the biggest national park in South Africa, is 20,000 sq km and is home to a huge variety of animals including the Big 5. The park lies across the provinces of Mpumalanga and Limpopo in the north of South Africa, just south of Zimbabwe and west of Mozambique. Bounded by the Crocodile River in the south and the Sabie River in the north, the southern region is also host to the jagged ridge of the Lebombo Mountains along the border with Mozambique, and the highest point in the park, Khandzalive, in the southwestern corner of the park.
Hoping to find the most amazing and elusive animals of the African bush, we will spend our next 2 days doing game drives on an open 4x4 safari vehicle.
